About Joel
INTRODUCTION
My work sits at the intersection of geopolitics, identity, and conversation.

I am driven by a central question:
Why are some of the most important conversations today also the most difficult to have?
BACKGROUND
For over two decades, I have worked as an educator and licensed tour guide in Israel, engaging with a wide range of groups - from students to community leaders to international delegations.

This work has placed me at the intersection of history, politics, identity, and lived experience - where ideas are not abstract, but deeply felt and often contested.
NAVIGATING THE CONVERSATION
Over time, I became increasingly interested not just in the content of these conversations—but in their structure.

Why do intelligent, well-meaning people so often talk past one another?
Why do certain topics escalate so quickly?
Why do some disagreements feel impossible to resolve?

These questions led me to develop a framework-based approach to understanding complexity.
MY UNIQUE VALUE
Today, my work focuses on helping people:

-
understand competing narratives
-
identify underlying assumptions
-
navigate disagreement more effectively
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
I live in Israel with my wife and children. My connection to this region is both professional and deeply personal - shaping not only what I teach, but how I engage with these questions.
